The base for the world’s largest Legoland is being laid brick after brick, and thankfully stepping on these ones won't have you screaming bloody murder. The New York Lego Resort is opening next year on the fourth of July, with a grand opening fireworks show – because everything is awesome, obviously.
With seven themed lands and over 50 rides, shows, and attractions, the largest Legoland in the world is coming soon about 65 miles north of New York City, already getting ready for opening day. More than 15,000 models are already being built and shipped to the concrete jungle, and some are on their way to be installed on location. Are we the only ones crossing our fingers for a Batman land?
Honestly, much like The Lego Movie, Inside Out, and Animaniacs, this is one of those things that's supposedly for kids but know 100% that it's going to be packed with adults having major field days with their inner child. That's good, though; it's healthy. Each land has countless activities; you can learn to be a firefighter, take a driving class in Lego City, or hit up some ninja training.
Annual passes are already on sale for $120, and single-day tickets for $63; you can check out the park's progress and pick up your passes through the Legoland website.
